Discovering Our  Catholic Faith

"Discovering our faith - what really is there to discover" you might ask...

No matter whether you are just a youngster, teenager, young adult, experienced parent or a more seasoned elder, there is always something new to learn.  It is in our human nature to seek out better knowledge and understanding of our faith in God, our purpose and the roles we play in life.

The Catholic Church offers a formal programme that indoctrinates non-Catholics into the faith through the Rite for Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA).  But that's not to say that for existing Catholics there isn't more to learn...

Even the simple act of praying - this is another interesting aspect of our faith which many seek to strengthen and even to gain a better understanding of.

Many do not understand why we Catholics place such a high importance on our Catholic Saints and in whom we seek intercedence for our prayers to God and Christ Jesus.

We invite you to explore the pages within this website to hopefully add value to your faith discovery or to simply provide you with a spiritual parking place.

St. Paul gave a message inspired by the Dove,

To live with compassion, treat others with love.

Give not into temptation, live not by the sword,

And walk in the footsteps of Jesus our Lord.

Now times are so troubling, our hearts grow forlorn,

For people in anguish in places war-torn.

Why do we continue in our sinful ways,

Thank God for His Mercy, our debts have been Paid.

So remember the promises that Yahweh made,

That we are His children, through His Son we’re saved.

So lift up your spirits to the eagle that soars,

And walk in the footsteps of Jesus our Lord.

The door has been opened, we’re shown a new way,

Touch someone with kindness, to brighten their day.

So if you seek the answer, then search no more,

Just walk in the footsteps of Jesus our Lord.

There’s a constant struggle in our daily lives,

Where loved ones are strangers, even husbands and wives.

The confusion around us can leave us in fear,

But brothers and sisters, the Messiah is here.

So remember the promises that Yahweh made,

That we are His children, through His Son we’re saved.

So lift up your spirits to the eagle that soars,

And walk in the footsteps of Jesus our Lord.

Walk in the Footsteps of Jesus our Lord
